Square title: Double Treble Striped Square

General Pattern: One row double treble in one color and then two rows of double crochet each row in a different contrasting color. Advice, make sure to keep your starting chain loose.

My thoughts and views on this square and/or the experience of crocheting it:
First impressions, yay new stitch, though thanks to the 2010 Ravelry crochet block a month I've already had experience with this stitch. It does break up the monotony of doing just trebles for weeks on end. From reading the pattern we are even given control over what to make the contrasting colors of double crochet. I'm leaning towards doing it as suggested for now. I'm pretty sure we'll have to make another one eventually.

Okay so the square is finished and now I'm weaving in the ends. Very many ends. 9 per side. Though how can I complain with the Mahut/Isner match playing in the background.

Square title:  Colored Eyelet Square

General Pattern: Trebles with three rows having a 2 chain space then after the square is done blanket stitch in the different colors around the holes left.

My thoughts and views on this square and/or the experience of crocheting it:

Doing the square itself was easy enough. I just am growing to dislike doing the stitching on my squares. It's getting tedious and boring. I think I would rather have more color work.

Square title: Two-Color Diagonal Square #3

General Pattern: Trebles done with two colors in a diagonal on a square. Colors were Sailor Blue and Aubergine.

My thoughts and views on this square and/or the experience of crocheting it:

This square is still one of the very non annoying ones to do. I can see me using the pattern to maybe do a pinwheel effect.

Square title: Maize Granny Square

General Pattern: Standard Art of Crochet Granny Square. Rounds 1 and 6 are trebles and the others are half trebles.

My thoughts and views on this square and/or the experience of crocheting it: I challenged myself for this square. I wanted to see how fast I could get the square finished in. My time was just barely an hour.

They need to space them out more they really do. I don't even follow the pattern much except for where to place the trebles.

Square title: Checkerboard pattern square

General Pattern: Just trebles and chains to make a mesh checkerboard effect. The pattern forms over two rows.

My thoughts and views on this square and/or the experience of crocheting it: I quite like this pattern. I could see a throw made just out of this.  It's a fairly fast crochet.

Square title: Colored Bobbles Square (number 2)

General Pattern: Square of aubergine trebles with five rows of different colored bobbles spread out on the square. 

My thoughts and views on this square and/or the experience of crocheting it: It's a slower square to crochet. I'm not fond of it because the count is mucked up after the bobble row and it makes the sides all wonky, and as I forgot from square eight the rows don't really work out right.  My color changes and bobbles are better though so it's nice to see proof that I've improved with crochet.

General Pattern: Simple granny square where only rounds 1 and 6 are trebles

My thoughts and views on this square and/or the experience of crocheting it: Bored now, and it's only the third granny square. I'm guessing there are going to be 13 to 17 more.

General Pattern:  Normal granny square start then trebles all around with chain spaces in the corners.

Another fast crocheted square. This one is one of the center squares for the throw. It was fairly simple. It was only 5 rounds.

General Pattern: Treble Stitch with decreasing color A and increasing color B

My thoughts and views on this square and/or the experience of crocheting it: Less than two hours from start to finish for this square. I love the pattern. It's simple and using different color combos you could make brilliant throws.

Square title: Half Treble Square with Star Motif

General Pattern: Remember square 7? You will now. Just 13 cm of half trebles in Lavender yarn finishing off with a maize star.

My thoughts and views on this square and/or the experience of crocheting it: I'm glad for the practice in making my half trebles. My edges are getting much better. I'm starting to gain confidence working with this stitch.This square took me maybe 5 hours to do total. After working on the 2010 block a month square for May I'm glad to go back to these simpler squares.

This yarn color really makes me wonder about the people that sourced the yarn. I don't think it's lavender colored. It's more a pastel blue. The maize works with it though.
