Skirt Update
Well I'm getting closer to being done. Here is the new photo. I estimate I have under 40 rounds left to do.

Skirt update
Okay I have finished the straight up ribbing and now get to start the lacey type work. (the pattern calls it the eyelet pattern.)
I would love to finish this before I head to England. As I would like to work on the Pi Shawl for the flight.

Skirt Update
Okay so I've been working on my skirt. I spent a couple of hours rewinding my yarn so I wasn't having to deal with 4 balls. I have one uber huge ball and I just increased to 7 x 3 ribbing. I do that for 8 cm/3 in and then I'm starting the eyelet pattern.

Claudia Evilla Skirt

Wound up using with the ED colorway, I liked it best.
My gauge swatch at the 3.5 mm (size 4 needles US) level was too tight.
I am so glad I did that swatch. Though I liked how close the fabric was. I might do another one at that size but just double everything.
I did another swatch on size 7 needles US (4.5 mm) and that worked out right so I cast on, all proper like.
Had to frog that one. Tried again ended up thinking I twisted so frogged that one. Tried a third time and that turned out fine. I've managed to get past the first 15 or so rows. After row 8 I had to do the eyelets so I'm moving right along with the skirt.
Again I'm glad that I decided to start with what I had. I foolishly thought that since the skirt had to go around my hips which are about 135 cm round that's about 53 inches that getting a 47 inch circ needle would be okay. Maybe a little grouped up on stitches but not too bad. *buzz* wrong answer. after I cast on all the stitches onto my 16 inch circs I was almost magic loop knitting. When I got past the 9th row and switched to my size 7 needles I'm on my 24 inch circs and that's just about right. I'll probably end up with having to get 36 inch circs by the time I finish. I can now understand why Knit-Picks Option needle sets and such are big sellers. They are going to the top of my wish list that's for sure.

Cranes, cranes and more cranes
I've done 86 cranes so far turned 60 of them in to Knit Purl. Trying to go for turning in 40 at once if my yarn and sanity holds out. I've got 14 left to do before my self imposed deadline of Thursday.
Check my ravelry post on the cranes for the 'wall O cranes' and the table full of cranes.

Little Dude cape
Okay using Holiday Dog Capelet by Kathy North from Ravelry as a base I'm making Dart a "little dude" cape. I'm uncertain if this is going to count as me designing my own pattern thus I'm putting the source listed above.
This is going to also be my first intarsia project too.
I'm using red heart designer sport yarn (it's for a dog I'm not going to break out and get any super wash stuff)
I'm using red (3901) and yellow (3215) colors
I cast on 100 stitches
st st 8 rows
bo 20 sts k to end of row
bo 20 sts p to end of row
bo 5 sts k to end of row
bo 5 sts p to end of row
st st 4 rows
(that's it for now)

Ruth Sorensen Fulled Slippers
Okay I've worked on the first of a pair of fulled slippers. The first one is in the washing machine fulling.
Some thoughts on it at this time.
Use circs next time. for a grown up slipper casting on 80 stitches is a wicked large amount.
I have some concerns about having enough yarn but I think I'll survive it called for 200 grams but I'm not sure if that's two 200 gram balls or just the total of two balls has to be equal to or greater than 200 grams. guess I'll find out won't I.
